With deep sadness, we announce that our dearly loved father, Eun Yong Kim, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in his 89th year.

He now joins his beloved wife, Haeng Kang Kim, who passed in 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Chai Choon Kim and Boon Nuagh Chang, and by his elder sisters, Jung Ja Shin, who passed in 1978 and Shin Jah Lee, who passed in 2022.

He will be missed terribly by his children, Harold Kim and Nancy Kim, and their spouses, Alysa Kim and David Roopa. Grandad — lovingly known as Habogie — was immensely proud of his three grandchildren, Evelyn, Grant (Toby), and Robert Kim, and spoke of them often and with great joy. Lovingly remembered by his sister, Hae Won Chang, and his brothers, Kyung Yong Kim and Kwan Yong Kim, as well as many wonderful nephews and nieces who will carry his memory in their hearts. A gentleman with a kind and quiet heart, he lived his life surrounded by love and the beauty of nature. We find comfort in knowing that our father and mother are now reunited and watching over us with love.

A service will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centre (7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON L6Y 5L5) on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Public visitation will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A reception will follow from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
