<div itemprop="description">Ernie Bailey of Loretto, Ontario, (born in Chilliwack B.C.) loving husband of the late Helen Bailey, father of Susan McIntyre, Patricia Raymond, Janet Daurio, father- in-law to Larry McIntyre, Gary Raymond, Mike Daurio, loving grandfather to Jeff, Tim, Christine, Erin, Michelle and Stephen, brother to Jim, Harry and the late Jack Bailey, brother-in-law to Louise, Angie, Joan and Betty, uncle to 12 nieces and nephews both here in Ontario and in B.C. Ernie passed away peacefully at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston at the age of 86, surrounded by his family on Friday Jan. 2nd, 2015 after suffering a heart attack and two strokes. He lived his life to the fullest. Against strong odds, he was able to overcome two bouts of cancer, bounce back from a triple by-pass and two hip replacements since retiring at the age of 59, and a few life- threatening health situations in the recent past. He was like a cat with nine lives. He always rebounded and came back even stronger than ever. Unfortunately this time, it just wasn't meant to be. Our hearts are heavy and our lives are filled with a huge void in the loss of a true gentleman with a heart of gold. He touched the lives of so many in a way that only he could. A little part of &quot;Grandpa&quot; will remain in our hearts for ever. Please join us in a celebration of his life at Meadowvale Visitation Centre on Friday Jan. 9th, 2015. Visitation will be held in the chapel from 12:00 - 1:00 followed by a celebration of his life from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.. A reception will follow from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Visitation Centre.</div>
