“A life that touches others goes on forever.”
It is with deep love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Enez Theodora Snaggs, who passed away peacefully on the evening of November 24, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She was 97 years old and lived a life filled with faith, laughter, and love.
A Life Rooted in Love and Faith
Born in Tunapuna, Trinidad, West Indies, Enez was the beloved daughter of Verna Banwell and Hypolite Jordan. After losing her mother at the tender age of eight, she was raised with love and guidance by her aunt, Freda Payne, who nurtured her strength, independence, and kindness qualities that defined her entire life.
From her youth, Enez sparkled with personality. She was the heart of every gathering, vibrant, witty, and always bringing people together through her warmth and laughter.
A Woman of Many Talents
Enez’s early years in Trinidad reflected her remarkable determination and creativity. She embraced many roles with grace: dressmaker, first-aid worker, secretary, clerical associate, and manager of the Central Records Office. Her gift for dressmaking showcased her elegance, artistry, and sense of beauty.
Beyond her professional achievements, Enez gave tirelessly to her community. She played an integral role in the building of a community centre, raising funds and inspiring others to join her cause. Her creativity extended to the arts, writing, acting in, and directing plays that brought joy and unity to her neighborhood.
A Life of Service and Compassion
After moving to Canada, Enez continued her lifelong mission of service. She was active in prison ministries and Women’s Aglow, sharing words of faith, encouragement, and love with all she met. She was also a nurturing caregiver to many children, welcoming them with open arms and a mother’s heart.
A Life Rich with Experience
Enez had a passion for discovery and adventure. Her travels took her to destinations such as Hawaii, South Africa, and Jerusalem, each journey deepening her appreciation for life’s beauty and diversity.
A Legacy of Love
Enez is lovingly remembered by her children, Collette, William Jr., Madonna, and Michelle, and reunited in peace with her son Steve (deceased). She also leaves behind her extended children, Ingrid and Sherry Ann; her siblings Maisie, Tina, Jilda, and Errol; cousin Leroy; and in-laws, Vivian, Lynette,Jenny, Abigail, and Lenus.
Her love lives on through her 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, each blessed by her nurturing spirit, humor, and wisdom.
Enez was a dear friend to countless people, too many to name, but all held close to her loving heart.
Forever in Our Hearts
Her presence was a blessing, her love a guiding light, and her memory a gift to all who knew her.
