With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth “Liz” NOWINSKI at the age of 90, on July 6, 2015 at Billings Court Manor in Burlington. Survived by her son John Iredale (Bev) and siblings Victoria "Vicki", Mildred "Millie", Bruce (Ann), Robert "Bob" (Donna), and Douglas "Doug" (Isabel).Predeceased by sisters Kathleen "Kay" and Donna (Doug), and brothers Duncan (Eleanor), Roy, and James "Jim" (Ruth).Fondly remembered by countless family and friends, including many from the years Liz had lived in New York City.
The family would like to thank all who contributed to the dignified, compassionate and exceptional quality of care Liz received at Billings Court Manor, particularly those of the nursing staff, Michelle, and Dr. Ragonetti. A visitation in Elizabeth’s honour will be held on Thursday, July 9th during the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 4:30 p.m. followed by a reception at The Simple Alternative, 1535 South Gateway Road in Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hope Place Women’s Centre in Milton would be appreciated (www.hopeplacecentres.org).
