<div itemprop="description">Eleanor A. Ryan, 70, passed away Friday, February 27th, 2015 with her family by her side in Toronto, ON. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 8th at Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre in Toronto (Details below). <br /> <br />Eleanor was born on November 12th, 1944 in Cape Town, South Africa where she resided with her parents, Walter and Louisa Everts and her 7 siblings. <br />She married Joseph Ryan on April 17th, 1971 at St. Mary's of the Angels in Athlone, Cape Town to which they joyfully had four children. Joseph Ryan passed away on March 6th, 1987. Eleanor immigrated to Montreal, Quebec with her children in 1988 and settled in Toronto in 1990. <br /> <br />Eleanor enjoyed music and the arts, painting, loved the ballet and was an avid follower of tennis. She devoted much of her time and energy to her children and grandchildren. <br /> <br />Eleanor is survived by her brothers; Ivan, Clarence, Anthony and Owen Everts; her sisters; Daphne Topass and Moira Bristow; her daughter, Nicole Ryan; her sons &amp; their spouses; Paul and Shazeeda Ryan, Justin and Karen Ryan, Miles and Ania Ryan, and her grandchildren; Tristan, Dominic and Marco Ryan.</div>
