Eke passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Sunday, August 17, 2025 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Eldon Foreman. Dear mother of Greg of Oshawa and Jeff (Jeanette) of Smithers, B.C. Loving Oma of Justin (Shelly), Kateri, Taylor and Neve. Great Oma of Melody. Eke was predeceased by her parents Siebe van der Woude and Eke (nee Schuitema) and by siblings Mary, Berta, Susie, Ellie, Albert and Dini. Fondly remembered by many dear friends, neighbours, nieces and nephews in Ontario and Holland. Special thank you to Paramed and PSW’s Maddy, April and Alysia and to the staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa floors 8, 5 and 4 for all the care and compassion shown to Eke and her family. A celebration of Eke’s life will be held at Kassinger Estates Clubhouse (520 Rossland Road East) on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm.
