Edmond Wing Hang To, 65, of Thornhill, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved.

Born on November 5, 1960, in Hong Kong, Edmond moved to Canada to carve his own path and pursue higher education. After graduating from the University of Windsor, he returned to Hong Kong to marry his beloved wife, Clara, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership. Together, they returned to Canada to begin building a life side by side, laying down roots and creating a home filled with love. Edmond established a successful career in Database Management, and eventually retired in 2018. He was widely respected by colleagues and peers for his integrity and steadfast work ethic.

Edmond was defined by his quiet strength and his deep loyalty to those he held dear. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether he was meticulously tending to his backyard garden or exploring new countries with family and friends. Traveling was one of his greatest passions, not just for the destinations themselves, but for creating everlasting memories and the time it allowed him to spend with loved ones. He approached every journey with a characteristic enthusiasm that will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Clara, and his beloved sons, Terence and Colin. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Jenny and Shirley.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Elgin Mills Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill). Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the same location beginning at 12:30 p.m.
