After a brave and courageous struggle with cancer, Earle passed away peacefully early on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Delta, B.C. Predeceased by his wife Muriel and sister Audrey, he is fondly remembered by his children Carol, Dale, Robin and Douglas; grandchildren Kira, Michael, Samantha, Curtis and Trevor; great-grandchild Kathryn, sister Thelma, stepsister Ruth and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Earle had a long and successful career with Loblaw Companies Limited working as a Store Manager in several Toronto Loblaw stores. In 1972 he relocated to Vancouver to work at subsidiary Kelly, Douglas and Company, Limited in the Distribution Centres division and eventually attained the position of Vice-President.
A Memorial Service was held in Delta, B.C. at the Tsawwassen United Church on April 10, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave., 416-267-8229) on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with interment and reception to follow.
Anyone who knew Earle or his family is more than welcome to attend. If friends and family so desire, they may make a memorial contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Irene Thomas Hospice in Delta, B.C.
