<div itemprop="description">On Tuesday, November 17th, 2015, Douglas Chelsea Rowe died peacefully in the hospital surrounded by family. He died from injuries sustained from a fall the previous day while out on a walk. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Carol Rowe, their three children and six grandchildren. A private funeral will be held. <br /> <br />Doug was in his special place up at Balsam Lake enjoying his family, reading, observing nature while sailing, kayaking and going for walks. Heaven on earth for Doug. He spent 85 wonderful summers at the cottage. In Dad's honour, to commemorate his time at the cottage and his years of service as both the president of the Balsam Lake and the Killarney Bay Associations, we are arranging for a Memorial Bench. This bench will be put at the little parquet at the corner at the cottage, so people can sit on the bench and enjoy the views of Balsam lake. If you would like to make a donation towards this Memorial Bench please contact a family member.</div>
