It is with deep love and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Irene Brown (nee), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She was the beloved wife of the late George Allen Brown, with whom she shared decades of partnership and warmth. Together, they built a legacy of family, adventure, and devotion, including 20 joyful winters in Largo, Florida, where they made lasting friendships and memories in their retirement park community.

Dorothy was a proud and loving mother to Rosemary, Scott (Colleen), and Nancy; a treasured grandmother to Michelle, Christina, Tobin, Treavor, Rory, Fiona, Reece, Lisa, and Brian; and a great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy.

Dorothy’s professional journey was one marked by determination and excellence. She dedicated her entire career to Loblaws, starting as an Account Clerk and rising through the ranks to become Director of Finance. Her integrity, work ethic, and loyalty made her a pillar of the company.

Even in retirement, she remained vibrant and engaged—joining social groups in Mississauga and staying active both mentally and physically. A firm believer in walking for fitness, she committed to 10,000 steps a day from her 50s onwards. Her brisk pace became a trademark and a marvel to all who knew her.

Dorothy was a longtime member of The People's Church in Toronto, she nurtured meaningful friendships and deepened her spiritual path, finding strength and community in her beliefs.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the example she set, and the love she gave so freely. She will be remembered for her grace, strength, and unwavering dedication to family, faith, and friendship.
