With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Dina Mittas, who peacefully entered eternal rest on December 22, 2025, at the age of 96.

Born in Nemea, Greece on March 25, 1929, Dina came to Canada in her early twenties alongside her beloved parents, sisters and brother carrying with her courage, determination, and an unshakable work ethic. Through hard work and perseverance, she built a better life for herself and her family, never allowing challenges to dim her ambition or spirit.

Dina married the love of her life and together they raised two daughters, Terri and Anna, who were the centre of her world. She was a devoted and loving mother who would do anything for her family. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Stephanie, Gregory, Maria, and Matteo, and great- grandmother to Selena who brought her immense joy and purpose.

A woman of deep faith, Dina’s religion guided her values and strengthened her through every stage of life. She was independent, hardworking, family-oriented, honest, loving, and funny, with a warm sense of humour that brought comfort and laughter to those around her. Her strength and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Dina is survived by her husband Argirios (Harry), daughters Terri, Anne Marie, grandchildren Stephanie, Gregory, Maria, Matthew, great granddaughter Selena, sister Magdalene, son-in-laws John and Paul and granddaughter-in-law Nadine.

She is predeceased by her parents Michael and Anastasia, sisters Anna, and Fay and brother George.

Dina will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her resilience, her devotion to family, and the love she so freely gave. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.
