Des, 80, of Toronto, after a short illness, died peacefully on Friday, March 6th, 2026.

Des was born in Dublin, Ireland, on Dec 3rd, 1945 to Michael and Constance Harte.

In the 1970's Des emigrated from Ireland and made a new life for himself in Canada, settling in Toronto. Here he worked for many years with the TTC until his retirement.

During this time he married and is survived by his wife Darlene and Daughter Kathryn to whom he was a devoted husband and father.

He is also survived by his Sisters Maura and Joan and brothers Michael, Brian and Paul.

Funeral services will be held at the Pine Hills Funeral Centre on Saturday March 21st, 2026. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Private Cremation.
