BECKER, Debra May 16, 1954 -November 21, 2011
Deb died peacefully at home on November 21, 2011, with family and friends surrounding her after a courageous battle with cancer. Much loved daughter of Martha and Edward (late) Becker. Loving sister to Barb (Dennis) Eliason, Marcia (Jamie (late)) Gosse, Lynda (Lucien Groulx) Becker and Pat (Michael McCorkell) Becker. Loving aunt to Teresa (Don), Jeff (Karen) and Melanie (Caleb) and great-aunt to Joshua. Deeply loved and missed by all who knew her.
Deb was a long-term employee of Manulife and a member of the Quarter Century Club. Sports were a large part of Debs life and she made many long and lasting friendships through the various clubs/teams she played with.
Special thanks to her dear friend April who through her caring provided support, fun and laughter to the end. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who touched Deb's life, especially her wonderful circle of close friends. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ottawa at Rideau Park United Church (2203 Alta Vista Drive) on December 3, 2011 at 1:30 pm followed by a reception. As per Deb' wishes, a party to celebrate her life will be held in the Toronto area in early January 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CanaColl Foundation, Salvation Army and/or Canadian Red Cross. Arrangements by The Simple Alternative. Condolences may be forwarded through www.etouch.ca.
