Dawn Whitehouse
September 30, 1971 - October 31, 2015
Whitehouse: Dawn Marie
September 30, 1971 – October 31, 2015
In the early morning of Saturday October 31st, Dawn passed away with her good friend Tiffany by her side. Born in Sarnia, Dawn is survived by her siblings Greg (Sheri), Dave, and Tracy Whitehouse (Paul), as well as her nieces and nephew Emma, Julie and Jared. She was a cherished and dear friend to many, especially Tiffany, Kirsten, Barb, Gayle, Sonya, Bonnie, James and Amy, Alex, Wendy and Chris. With a special adoration for children, Dawn very much enjoyed the love of Jack, Ava, Owen, James, Victoria, Elizabeth, Ciara, Gavin, Hudson, Gillian and Sebastian. Dawn was also well loved and respected by her colleagues at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), where she worked for more than 15 years. A true beauty with a loyal heart and a passion for travel, cooking and sailing, Dawn was a perfect example of how to live life to the fullest. Ever the epitome of grace and confidence, she was most courageous during her fight against cancer. Dawn is now back in the arms of her family who have gone before her and will be forever in the hearts of those who loved her. Many thanks to the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto Grace Palliative Care Unit and Dawn’s CCAC case manager Larisa. A memorial celebration will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre [east gate entrance on Mt. Pleasant Rd.] on Thursday, November 5th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In honour of Dawn’s memory, donations to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
