It is with profound sadness that the family of David Blair Linton announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 47 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Wilson Linton. Left to cherish David’s memory, is his life partner Andy Van Ginneken and David’s loving brothers Geoffrey (Nancy), Jason (Tara), Ian, his step mother Paula (Ron Stevens), Aunt Hilary (Jim,Taryn) Matson , nieces Rachel & Vanessa and nephew Nathan; as well as numerous cousins and friends. David was born May 22, 1964 in Toronto Ontario. He attended school in Toronto and graduated from Steveston High School (Vancouver). Later David attended Trent and Queens University graduating with Honours and his B.Ed. David worked with his father in the employee benefits business at Linton & Associates before going back to university to become a teacher. David was cofounder of the “Friends for Life Bike Rally” to support people living with HIV & Aids. This annual event has raised millions of dollars to date. He was a trusted, loyal friend and a gentle loving spirit. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service to Celebrate David's Life will be held at MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY VISITATION CENTRE, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) Toronto 416-485-5572 on Friday October 7th from 11:30am-12:30pm with service in the chapel at 12:30pm with internment to follow.
