<div itemprop="description"> <p> <strong> DAVID PHILIP HANSEN </strong> </p> <p> In his brave but brief battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at Princess Margaret Hospital on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the age of 46. </p> <p> A quiet, gentle and thoughtful soul, David&rsquo;s love of life, his &ldquo;punny&rdquo; sense of humour and positive outlook saw him through to the end. </p> <p> David will be forever missed by his best friend and loving wife Vicki Miwa-Hansen. Greatly missed by parents Dieter(Ruby) and Mona, brothers Mark (Lionel), Greg (Elizabeth), Trevor (Andrea) and brothers-in-law Barry(Shauna), Craig(Linda)and father-in-law Harold(late Rae Miwa).&nbsp; Loving Uncle to Matt, Dan, Tyra, Taylor, Isabella, Haedyn, Jordyn, Dawson, Tatiana and Tristan. Special Uncle to John, Luke, Miya, Amy, Amaya and Nolan. A special thanks to Allyson Nowell and the Pancreatic Cancer Program team. </p> <p> Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre </p> <p> (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough, 416-267-8229 on Saturday, February 9th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm.&nbsp; A Funeral Service will be held in the Pine Hills Chapel on Sunday February 10th at 1 p.m.&nbsp;&nbsp; Reception is to follow.&nbsp; Memorial donations to <b> The Princess Margaret Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, Autism Speaks </b> or a <strong> charity of your choice </strong> would be appreciated by the family. </p> </div>
