<div itemprop="description">Clifton Ng-A-Kien, 87, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014 in Markham. He was born on October 17, 1926 in Hyde Park, Guyana, to Amelia and Manasseh Ng-A-Kien. Clifton married Vivian Russell, and together they raised their five children. Clifton worked with his parents in the family-run general store in Soesdyke for many years before moving to Canada in 1975. He was always ready with a smile and a laugh, and offers of food and drinks. He took every opportunity to travel to spend time with family and friends. Clifton is survived by his wife, and their children Diana [William], Lauren [Terrence], Clive [Gail - predeceased], Marla [Robin], and Corrine [Ian], his nine grandchildren, and his two great-granddaughters. He is predeceased by his brother, Harvey, sisters Joyce and Doreen and survived by his sisters Rita and Waveney. Memorial donations may be made in Clifton's name to the Ontario Brain Injury Association.</div>
