It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Claire Cecile Batcher, a beloved wife, loving mother and remarkable woman. Claire’s sudden passing happened surrounded by loved ones on June 25, 2026 at 78 incredible years old.

Claire’s nurturing spirit, unwavering support and boundless love will live forever in the hearts of her husband Ken, and her daughters, Nicole and Megan, as well as with her family, many friends, and colleagues.

Claire had a generous heart and was always ready to give a helping hand to those in need. Claire’s kindness and compassion touched the lives of many people and she will be deeply missed by all of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held for Claire on Wednesday July 29, 2026 from 1-4 pm at The Royal Canadian Legion located at 110 Jutland Rd., Etobicoke.

Since Claire was so actively involved with volunteering and helping others, we ask that if you would like to make a contribution in her honour, in lieu of flowers, please bring an unwrapped toy to the celebration of life to be donated to the CP24 Chum Christmas Wish. This charity holds a special meaning for Claire as she had been associated with them for years through the Children’s Holiday Parties she organized when she worked at Blakes.

Claire’s memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends and colleagues. Her legacy as a mother, sister, wife, volunteer, secretary and friend will endure and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
