吳臻傑 Chun Kit Ng
May 20, 1927 - March 29, 2015
Chun Kit Ng passed away peacefully on March 29, 2015. He was 87.
He came from simple beginnings in China. He married Wai Chun and they started a family. They moved to Hong Kong, where Chun Kit started a garment manufacturing business. He ran this factory until it was time to move to Canada.
Chun Kit loved Canada, his adopted home. He worked in some Chinatown kitchens until he and his eldest son opened a restaurant. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed practicing tai chi, tending to his vegetable garden, and having a candy ready for his grandchildren's visits.
Chun Kit is survived by his wife, Wai Chun; four children: Yim Tak and wife Joanna, Chan Kwong and wife Cindy, Shut Ping and Shut Ying; six grandchildren: Ka Yan and husband Christian, Sherry and husband Greg, Mandy and husband Bobby, Sarah, Elizabeth and Trisha; and four great-grandchildren: Parker, Vivian, Hannah, and Tegan. He is survived by an older sister, and predeceased by an older sister and younger brother.
