Christina Pazerekas
May 6, 1967 - January 28, 2015
Pazerekas, Christina Margaret, (nee Keith), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was blessed with many kind friends from her Havergal College days as well as Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and her time at Western University, where she received an honors degree in economics. Taking care of friends and family were always her priority, and many of them came to help her during her treatment at Sunnybrook from April 2014 to her recent days in palliative care.
Beloved wife of Raymond M. Pazerekas, loved and loving mother of Grace Anne and Dylan James, cherished daughter of Ian S. Keith and Eleanor (Gibson) Keith, dear younger sister of James A. Keith, she will be greatly missed also by many relatives and cousins both in Canada and the United States.
Christina had a gorgeous smile, beautiful brown eyes, infectious laugh, keen sense of humour and unpretentious character. She was extremely intelligent and had an analytical mind that loved science. She was open-minded and worldly in her way of thinking. She loved the outdoors, especially spending time with her family at the cottage at Oxtongue. She spent most of her career in the travel industry working for United Airlines and American Express. Many of her passions included traveling the world, cooking for her family and friends, driving her 1967 MGB that her father restored, going to concerts, reading and knitting.
Arrangements for a memorial gathering have been made for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
