It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Choong Mee (Amy) Chung-Tan-Wing on Sunday March 1st 2026. Surrounded by the love and presence of her family during her final days, Amy transitioned into rest with the same grace and strength that defined her life.

Amy is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters, Natalie Chung-Tan-Wing and Amanda Woon-Fat, and her four cherished grandchildren, Lukas, Evan, Gabriella and Penelope. While we mourn her physical presence, we take profound comfort in knowing she is at peace and has been reunited with her beloved husband, Sin Chow (Roland) Chung-Tan-Wing and granddaughter Madeline.

For nine decades, Amy was a woman of extraordinary resilience, demonstrating strength that will continue to guide her children and grandchildren for generations to come. Throughout her life, and especially during her last few years, we are thankful for family, friends and caregivers who continued to support her and our family as she struggled through health challenges.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing on Thursday, March 12th from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON, M2N 5Z5). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 13th at 11:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church (75 Churchill Ave, North York, ON, M2N 1Y9) followed by a nearby reception lunch.
