With heavy hearts and much love, we announce that Choi Kam Kwan went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2026 at the age of 101.

She was born on March 4, 1925 in Hoping, China. She had three older siblings - one brother and two sisters.

In her thirties, she first moved to Hong Kong with her son Paul. A few years later, she sailed across the Pacific to San Francisco and then went by train to Vancouver and finally, Toronto.

There she met her husband, Victor, and had another son, Larry.

They started a new business, Personal Touch Dry Cleaners. Later, they sold it and bought another business, Your Pantry Variety Store, where they worked long hours and came home every night after midnight.

She worked hard everywhere she went and sent money to family back home and then applied for them to come to Canada.

She retired after the Variety Store was sold.

She is survived by her sons Paul and Larry, her daughter-in-law May, and her grandchildren Amanda, Felicia and Jacob.
