Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital in Toronto on February 24, 2015, in his 83rd year, surrounded by his beloved family. Loving husband of 51 years of Rose (nee Bezzina). Proud father of Ramona and her husband Bobby Lennox, Anita and her husband Lawrence Arpaia and Jennifer and her husband Brad Scully. Adored grandfather of Apollonia and Julian Arpaia. Survived by his brothers Salvu, Fred and Spiro and sister Sunta and predeceased by his brothers Benny, George, Johnny and sister Carrie. Son of the late Elizabeth (nee wells) and Spirodione Gellel. Charlie was born on October 16th, 1932. Friends may call at the York Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft, Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, March 1st. Visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Special thanks to the caring staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at North York General Hospital.
