In memory of

Carson Lee

June 1, 1954 - March 10, 2026

Carson Lee passed away in the presence of his family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 71. He is mourned and missed by his devoted wife of 46 years, Deborah, and his daughter, Olivia (Aaron). He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Lee and Maureen Chan Lee.

Carson was born and raised in Montreal. He studied civil engineering and architecture at McGill University. During his youth, he enjoyed helping at the family business, Wing Noodles, in Montreal’s Chinatown, an experience that fostered his deep appreciation for Chinese-Canadian culture. Throughout his life, he remained a passionate student of this heritage and took great pride in learning and sharing its history.

Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at a young age, Carson met life’s challenges with determination, grace, and quiet resilience. For nearly forty years, he managed the progression of the illness while building a successful career in transportation architecture. After relocating to Toronto, he specialized in the planning and design of airport and bus traffic control centres, while working with Delcan Corporation and later Parsons Corporation. His work brought him to major infrastructure projects around the world, where he was respected for his expertise, dedication, and thoughtful approach to complex challenges. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments, but also for the courage and dignity with which he faced life’s challenges.

Outside of his professional life, Carson was a keen amateur photographer who delighted in capturing photos and videos of his beloved family during their many travels together. He also expressed his artistic side through sketches and paintings, often depicting buildings and landscapes from across Canada. Through these creative pursuits, he preserved countless memories and moments that will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Carson’s memory will live on through his family, whose lives have been enriched by his unwavering love and support.

On behalf of Carson, his family would like to extend their gratitude to the Personal Support Workers who assisted with his care, and to the medical team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre who supported his treatment during his hospitalization.

At Carson’s request, a private funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carson Lee would be appreciated by the family, supporting the Movement Disorders research of Dr. Alfonso Fasano, at UHN Foundation. Please visit: UHNfoundation.ca/tribute or call 416-603-5300.
