It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Anne Findlay, who left us peacefully on August 29th, 2025, at the age of 89. After a courageous and valiant battle with Parkinson's disease, Carol is now at peace.

Born in Halifax on September 21, 1935, to parents Geraldine and Neil Connors, Carol’s early life was shaped by her remarkable sense of responsibility. After the untimely death of her father, she became an invaluable support to her mother, helping to care for her younger siblings. This pivotal experience nurtured Carol's inner strength and resilience, traits that would define her throughout her life. Whether in her personal or professional life, Carol faced every challenge with unwavering courage and grace.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Murray Findlay, who passed away in 2013. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sharon Riggs and Neil Connors. Carol is survived by her five children, Ian (Deborah), Deborah, Glenn, Sharon, and Neil (Dee), and her brother Ron.

Above all, Carol relished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and she took great joy in watching them grow. She is fondly and lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren, Kristen, Justin, Travis, Alison, William, Julia, Elizabeth, Bethany, and Neil, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Addison and Charlotte.

Carol’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Carol's Life will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre 375 Mount Pleasant Ave. (see details below) Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11am-1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Parkinson Canada or a charity of your choice.
