It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Candido Brutto, who left us peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Piane Crati, Cosenza, Italia, Candido made his home in Toronto, Ontario, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to his family.

He was the beloved husband of Santa Brutto, and together they shared a beautiful life, raising four wonderful children - Ida, Liliana, Luca, Raffaello and later welcoming cherished grandchildren - Isabella, Amanda, Brianna, Joe, Kaitlyn, Theodore who brought him endless joy.

He was predeceased by his father Mario Brutto, his loving mother Ida Brutto, his brother Corrado Brutto, and his beloved granddaughter Cristina Cardoso.

Candido had a deep love for the outdoors — whether it was hunting, gardening, or simply spending time surrounded by nature. Above all, his heart belonged to his family, who will forever remember his strength, warmth, and the love he gave so freely.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
