Brian Darville
November 15, 1961 - July 11, 2013
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Brian D.P. Darville (November 15, 1961 - July 11, 2013) at his home. Loving son of Eric and Julia Darville. Cherished brother of Bruce and his wife Linda, Adele and her husband Michael, Beverley, Nancy and her husband Gary, Valerie, Linda, and Ronald. Inspired uncle to Laura, Tim, Stephanie, Angela, Adam, Mark, Julia, Nancy, Eric, Jessica, and Mark.
Brian was born in Montreal, Quebec. He relocated to Ontario to further his education at DeVry Institute of Technology, graduating with top honors in 1991. Brain was granted an apprenticeship at Alcatel (Currently known as Thales Group) where he continued to work for twenty-three years. Around the office he was affectionately known as the go-to guy when they needed a Mr. Fix-it. Brian will be missed by his colleagues who held him in high regard.
Brian was a self appointed novice expert on all things cars, tools, and technology, which consumed his idle time.
Brian personified the art of chivalry when work was to be done, “I’m the man, step aside.” He loved to play the jokester and clown around being the “funny guy.” Behind the jokes and laughter, Brian was a caring, compassionate, and generous man. He didn’t mind going out of his way for others, especially if it involved a grande skim milk latte and a blueberry scone.
In memory of Brian and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
