Brian Couvier passed away suddenly on January 19th, 2026, at the age of 62 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. He will be remembered for his deep love of family, friends, animals and the outdoors—especially winter, his favourite season.

Brian’s laugh was contagious; if he was laughing, everyone around him was laughing too. He carried a youthful spirit throughout his life, always acting like a kid at heart bringing his humour and fun wherever he went. An auto mechanic by trade, Brian loved pushing the limits—lowering trucks with his creation of Lowdown Automotive, customizing vehicles, and finding ways to make everything go faster. His skill and passion were admired by many. Most recently, Brian spent many years alongside friends and colleagues as an integral part of operations working at Brimacombe Ski Hill with his little sidekick CJ, the corgi.

Brian adored spending time with family and friends and was always grateful for each moment spent making memories with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed.
