In memory of

Brenda Gail Lang

August 24, 1955 -  November 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Lang at the age of 70 after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.

Predeceased by her father Gerald Morris in 1999 and her mother Millie Morris in 2025, Brenda was survived by her greatest prides, sons David and Geoff, whom she adored so much. She also formed incredibly special bonds with Michela and Badri, the spouses of David and Geoff, respectively. Her greatest purpose in life was when she became ‘Grammie’ to Geoff and Badri’s two daughters, Gabriella and Brooklyn. The pride she boasted when talking about her two granddaughters brought Grammie so much joy and fulfilled her latter years. Her greatest gift was her generosity with her time. Always present and always reliable, there is nothing she wouldn’t do to help her family. Whether it was in a hockey arena or on a golf course, she loved watching David and Geoff play sports. And more recently, dance studios cheering on Gabriella and Brooklyn.

When she was diagnosed with cancer in 2023, Brenda took the news with grace and continued to fight until her final days. She continued to travel, taking David, Michela, Geoff, Badri, Gabriella, and Brooklyn to Disney World in between chemotherapy sessions. She also continued to play golf when she could and enjoyed riding the golf cart watching her family and friends play. Although impossible to perfect, she loved Bridge and would still meet up with friends on Monday’s to continue her love of learning for the game.

Her three closest friends were her sisters. Valerie, Sandra, Brenda, and Barbara shared a very deep relationship and that bond continued to grow even until Brenda’s passing.
Beyond family, her passion has always been the Donalda Club and golf. The Donalda Family was always an extension of her own and was a happy place for her. Her favourite tournament was the Parent/Child where she would get to spend a day on the course with her boys, memories that will last forever. She leaves a legacy at the Club that will continue on through her children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Brenda will take place on Friday, November 14th from 2pm-5pm at the Donalda Club.

A special thank you to Dr. Robert Grant and Dr. Jennifer Arvanitis and the many doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital for their care over the past 2 years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Over the years, Brenda was an inspirational golfer to all the Ladies. She was always encouraging, enthusiastic and a friend to all. I always loved watching the club championships when Brenda was an eager competitor.
Her family can be very proud of her.

Bren and I met when we were 18 at Branksome and we became steadfast friends forever.
I only have such wonderful memories we shared school, great girlfriends, skiing, golf, being moms, some shenanigans, laughter and many heartfelt conversations. You are with me in my heart 💕

Having a first hand view of the success of both Geoff & Dave in life - whether in their careers, starting their own families, or excelling at pretty much any sport (much to my frustration) is a testament to the life Brenda lived.

I have no doubt that the kindness, humility, and sharp wit I see in Brenda's sons was from her...and will be passed down to granddaughters Gabriella & Brooklyn.

Sending love from Ottawa to the entire Lang crew

Sincerely,
The LeClair Family
