SOLEMN LITURGICAL NOTICE
In commemoration of the earthly ministry and eternal rest of The Most Reverend Bishop Roy Roger Brown, MO affectionately known as “Brother Lucky” Servant of the Gospel, Ecclesiastical Father, and Defender of the Apostolic Faith, we reflect upon a life marked by deep devotion, prophetic vision, and unrelenting commitment to the cause of Christ. As it is written in 2 Timothy 4:7–8 (KJV): “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness…”
With deep ecclesiastical reverence and unwavering hope in the Resurrection of the righteous, the New Vision Outreach Revival Mission, in sacred collaboration with the Brown's family and under the episcopal authority of His Excellency, The Most Reverend Father Archbishop Donovan W. Morgan, S.C., Presiding Archbishop of the Revival Mission Churches International, hereby announces the forthcoming Final Liturgical Observances in solemn tribute to the life, ministry, and episcopal legacy of our dearly beloved shepherd.
For over four decades, Bishop Brown served with distinction across Jamaica and the diaspora, embodying apostolic zeal, pastoral compassion, prophetic clarity, and spiritual excellence. Admired for his resonant voice and animated preaching, he was also known throughout the Church as a joyful and gifted spiritual humorist and one of the most celebrated Masters of Ceremonies in our denomination’s history gracing both local and international pulpits and platforms with sanctified wit and holy decorum.
The Celebration of Life: Solemn Assembly of Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, commencing at 11:00 AM at House of Praise Tabernacle, 800 Arrow Road, North York, Ontario, Canada. This sacred gathering will unite the saints in solemn worship and thanksgiving to Almighty God for a life faithfully poured out in service to the Church and to the Gospel.
The Jamaican observances will continue with a Vigil of Worship and Tributes on Thursday, August 22, 2025, at 9:00 PM at Mount Carmel Revival Mission, 10 Regent Street, Kingston. The First Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Archdiocese of the Mount Carmel Revival Mission, followed by the Solemn Eucharist of Thanksgiving and Homegoing on Sunday, August 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Archdiocese of the Mount Olivet Church of Christ the Redeemed Inc., 6 Chester Avenue, Kingston 11. The Rite of Christian Burial and Sacred Interment will take place at Meadowrest Memorial Gardens, St. Catherine, Jamaica.
These final rites will reflect the full dignity of the Church’s sacred farewell liturgies offering solemn word, sacred music, anointing, and prayer as we commend our beloved Bishop into the eternal arms of Almighty God, in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. Bishop Brown's is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, his six beloved children, the extended Brown's family brothers, sisters, and numerous relatives alongside colleagues in ministry and a vast spiritual fellowship of sons, daughters, and congregants across the world whose lives were forever impacted by his anointed service.
His voice shall echo through pulpits, his laughter within hearts, and his teachings shall live on in generations yet to come. He leaves not merely memories, but a movement a legacy of joy-filled witness, spiritual authority, and holy transformation. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Psalm 116:15).
