<div itemprop="description"> <p> McHugh, William (Bill) </p> <p> Bill gently slipped away peacefully at home, during the early morning of February 12th, 2013 with his devoted wife Wendy faithfully by his side. Loving father of Jill (Steven), Jodi (Mike), and Tim (Attie). Proud grandfather of Sarah, Melissa, Aidan, Fionn, and Johnny. Predeceased by his first wife of 27 years, Catherine (nee: Elliott). Loving brother of Edward (Pauline) and predeceased by brothers John (June) and Stan (June). Caring uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Bill proudly served his country for 40 years. At the age of 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. After 5 years of service he joined the Department of National Defense (DND) and worked on the Avro Aero. From there he was seconded to, then hired by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) until 1984, when he became one of the original members of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Bill was a kind considerate, accepting and affable ma, with not a judgmental bone in his body. Always well known as an unwavering enthusiast of the Boston Bruins, Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand. The family forwards their gratitude to Dr. Nell Thomas for her care &amp; compassion. Family and Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY&nbsp;&amp; VISITATION CENTRE,&nbsp;625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough&nbsp;(north of St. Clair Ave. E.,&nbsp;416-267-8229) on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 1pm. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations being made to a charity of your choice.
