
Ward: Beverley Leslie (nee Colvin) -Passed away peacefully at Lake Ridge Health Centre on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the age of 61. Devoted wife of Melville George Ward. Holding her memories dear are her sisters, Christine Nabieszko, Heather Brachvogel and Pierette Girard. Treasured daughter of the late Dolores Martin and Lesley Colvin. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and in-laws. Will be sadly missed by stepson, stepdaughter and grandkids Brian, Christine, Shannon and Taylor Ward. Bev’s professional life was a passion for her. She became Vice-President at HMS during her 23 years with the company, then left to pursue new challenges. After graduating with honours from CDI with a LAN Administrative degree, she joined RBC where she excelled in every position she held. After several promotions in quick succession she became a Project Analyst working on many high profile projects. Bev had a tremendous zest for life both at work and home. Mel was the love of her life, many happy memories made up their 37 year marriage. From camping to Jamaican trips, home ownership all filled their life together. After a breast cancer diagnosis in 2005, Bev became a mentor to many other women going through the same journey. She joined the CIBC Run for the Cure raising several thousand dollars each year to help beat the burden this terrible disease wrought on so many. Bev’s many friends at work and home will truly miss this woman blessed with courage, humour and hope. Visitation will be held at the Visitation Centre in Mount Pleasant Cemetery 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) on Tuesday, May 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the visitation centre on Wednesday, May 30 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
