<div itemprop="description">Nunes-Vaz, Berthe - Born in Antwerp, Belgium on March 23, 1912.&nbsp; Died peacefully at home on January 1, 2013 with the support of her loving family.&nbsp; She leaves behind children Claire(late Tom) and Edward (Miriam); grandchildren Monique (Mason), Nicole (Douglas), Eden (Dan) and Jordan and great-grandchildren Neroli, Lauren, Ethan, Jonah and Meyer.&nbsp; Berthe Nunes-Vas lived a very full life.&nbsp; She leaves a legacy of strength and determination for all who loved her.&nbsp; Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Amica at Bayview, devoted caregivers Maricela Altamirano and Yamileth Reyes-Ortega, and Dr. Meg Bennett and Dr. Susan Deering.&nbsp; There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elgin Mills Visitation Centre.&nbsp; Flowers are graciously declined.&nbsp; The family would greatly appreciate memorail donations be made to either the Toronto Symphony or the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.</div>
