Behrokh (Dokhi) Sassani (nee Motazed), age 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 6, 2026 in Toronto, Canada. Dokhi was born March 29, 1952, in Tehran to General Ali and Monir Azam Motazed. She grew up in Tehran and completed a Bachelor of Economics at National University of Iran.
Dokhi married her husband Cyrous Sassani on Dec 10, 1973. They had a life together of mutual respect and deep love for each other and were inseparable for more than 52 years.
Dokhi moved to Canada with Cyrous and their two children Lila and Ali Reza in 1999 after the Revolution in Iran. Dokhi always had a love of flowers and flower arrangement. In Toronto, she pursued her passion and established a thriving flower business designing the most exquisite arrangements for private and corporate clients.
Dohki is remembered as a most beautiful, kind, generous, caring and gentle soul. She was full of love and had a special aura around her. Dokhi always thought of others before herself. She always reached out to family members and friends on every birthday and every important occasion in their lives. She lit up our hearts. Dokhi was admired for her elegance and style and her hospitality was renowned. Dokhi was brave, determined, courageous and strong. She was a beacon of inspiration. Her kindness, her smile, her soul will stay with us forever and her presence will be missed. Heaven has certainly gained a beautiful angel.
Family was everything to Dokhi and she especially adored her granddaughter, Lilia. Dokhi is survived by her husband Cyrous, daughter Lila, (David), son Ali Reza, granddaughter Lilia, siblings Behrooz (Gail), Behnam (Dordaneh), Behzad’s wife Mahnaz, nephews Reza, Babak, and Darius, nieces Nazanin and Ariana, many cousins and other family and friends around the world. She was predeceased by her parents General Ali and Monir Azam Motazed and brother Behzad.
