
Beatrice Mary Dodd (aka Betty to her family and Bea to her friends) age 89 of Toronto died on November 15, 2011 at Lakeshore Lodge from Alzheimer’s.
Beatrice was born on January 19, 1922 in Toronto to Millard and Sarah Redden and shared their love with her brother Clare. Beatrice was married on February 15, 1947 to Edward Silvanus Dodd. They lived in Long Branch for their first eight years where they were blessed with three children, Mary, Michael, and Paul. They then moved to Etobicoke where they raised their family until Edward’s passing in 1973. Beatrice continued to live in the Etobicoke home until 1998 when she moved to Lakeshore Lodge. From 1975 to 1989, Beatrice worked as an Examiner in the Canadian Passport office in North York.
Beatrice is survived by Mary Carolynne Rome (wife to Brian Rome), Michael Edward (husband to Patricia), and Paul Joseph (husband to Connie) and grandchildren Matthew Rome, Sarah Rome, Stephen Dodd, Adam Dodd, Jonathan Rome, Jessica Dodd, Lucas Dodd, Alycia Dodd, and Oliver Dodd.
