Barbara Agnes (Nancy) Ruth Hurst (née Walsh), born Dec. 16, 1930, pre-deceased by her father Frank Walsh, mother Lumina Walsh (née Babineau), brothers Gerald, Francis, David, Patrick, and sister Louise. Widow to George, mother to Deborah (Tom), Patricia (Darrin), Carol, and Barbara (Vijay). Grandmother to Caroline, Katherine, Eric, and Nicholas, and Aunt to many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews, passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on May 27, 2026.

Born in Shediac, NB, Mom was proud of her Acadian heritage. She grew up with a love of baking, reading (especially mysteries) and puzzles. Mom took great enjoyment in art and music. Mom's strong Catholic faith was an integral part of her and guided her philosophy of life. She will be deeply missed.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital. Mom was treated very well and with respect and care.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica on June 12th at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Covenant House.
