Bagher Sanai-Zaker
Dr. Bagher Sanai-Zaker, 74, passed on June 28, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.
Bagher was born in Mashhad, Iran. He lost his dad when he was only 9 and he grew up with his mom and his 2 siblings.
Bagher met his wife of 48 years, Setila, during undergrad education, together they have 3 children: Saeed, Samia and Azadeh. He carried a Ph.D. in Counselling from the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a Full professor of Counselling. Dr. Sanai was the author/translator of 14 books and author of many articles mostly focused on group, marriage and family therapy. He has practiced individual, group, marriage and family counselling in USA, Canada and Iran for 45 years.
Setila believes that Bagher’s endurance and patience helped him create a fulfilling life, and he left the world so abruptly and easily that he doesn't even know it's over, but she does.
Bagher’s children always saw him as a superhero and even as adults, they still see him that way. He could fix anything from broken toys to mending relationships.
Bagher has 6 grandchildren. They could easily connect with him and he was fun to play with. He always had a story to tell the kids. They particularly enjoyed their stargazing and space related conversations.
We shall cherish our memories with (Baba) Bagher forever. He shall always be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends and many others whose lives he touched.

.دکتر ثنائی در مشهد به دنیا آمد و در ۹ سالگی پدرش را از دست داد و با مادر، برادر و خواهرش بزرگ شد
ایشان مدرک دکترای مشاوره را از دانشگاه کلرادو در شهر بولدر دریافت کرد و در رشته مشاوره به مقام استادی رسید. دکتر
ثنائی در طول عمر پر بار خود ۱۴ کتاب در رشته مشاوره و خانواده ترجمه و تألیف کرد. وی مقالات بسیاری در زمینه های
روان درمانی گروهی، ازدواج و خانواده نگاشته است. ایشان بیش از۴۵ سال در زمینه مشاوره فردی، گروهی، ازدواج و
.خانواده در آمریکا، کانادا و ایران فعالیت کرد
آشنایی و ازدواج باقر و ستیلا از زمان دانشجویی شکل گرفت. ثمره این ازدواج، سعید، سَمیه و آزاده هستند. از نظر ستیلا
پشتکار، صبر و استقامت ازعوامل موفقیت باقر درکسب مدارج عالی علمی بود. این اتفاق غیرمنتظره و سریع، خلاء
.بزرگی برای بازمانگان بجا گذاشت
فرزندانش او را به چشم انسان بزرگی می بینند که ازعهده هر گونه چالش کوچک و بزرگ، از تعمییر اسباب بازی های
.شکسته تا حل مشکلات بزرگ زندگی، می توانست برآید
