Precious great grandmother to Aryis. "Nanima" as she was lovingly called by everyone, spent her life giving to her children and community and found great joy in feeding, loving and caring for others. She was a very religious lady and believed strongly in her faith. She loved to sing hymns & devoted herself to pooja and her Bhagavan. She spent most of her early childhood in Sri Nagar, Kashmir. And the early parts of her adult life in Jammu & Kashmir, India. She was well travelled living in Amritsar, Delhi, Calcutta, Ludhiana, and Nagaland. Her love for her daughter Shyama, brought her to Canada in 1991, where she became the foundation of Shyama's family for the last quarter of her life. Her inability to sit idle and her love of arts and crafts kept her busy with crotcheting, knitting, organizing, decorating and maintaining her home beautifully. An adventurous lady, Nanima lived her life fearlessly and truly with a heart of gold. Beautiful yet modest, tiny but outspoken, hilarious & intellectual Nanima's sweet persona will be dearly missed by all. Wherever she went Nanima touched hearts and in her departing days she did the same. Her life left a legacy filled with the importance of faith, happiness, family, compassion, giving & love. We love you Nanima!
