With the utmost respect and compassion to a man of such character, we come together to acknowledge the passing of Ashwini Robert Kapani. He was fondly known as Bob or Bubble to family and friends. Bob passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 14, 2025 in Mississauga, Ontario.

Bob was a vibrant soul, willing to take risks and never look back. Bob fell in love with Nina in their 20’s and leapt at the chance to marry his twin flame later in life on 11-11-11. He had the pleasure of raising his talented daughters, Shweta and Alisha Kapani in Calgary before moving to Ontario. Understanding the importance of a blended family, Bob embraced the addition of Nina’s sons, Shaan and Amar Dhindsa, and their partners Shreya Roy and Katie Si. When Shaan and Shreya welcomed their first child, Kaeya Dhindsa, Bob and Nina enjoyed taking their granddaughter on walks through the neighbourhood and watching her play in their backyard. Family was at the centre of Bob’s life, and his love, guidance and resilience were felt deeply by those closest to him.

Bob received accolades and achieved professional success over the course of his lifetime; however it was the life he chose to live that impacted so many. As an accomplished Chartered Accountant and savvy investor, he helped several clients, family and friends achieve financial freedom. His course of action was always deliberate. Deliver the highest return on investments bearing the known risk. Bob’s ability to turn insight into opportunity allowed him to retire at a young age and dedicate his time to travel, learning, and fully embracing life with curiosity and appreciation with Nina by his side.

Bob has made everlasting relationships that has garnered love and appreciation across borders, land and sea. He was truly grateful for the care and thoughtful wishes during his final days. Through deep reflection, we ought to live our lives similar to Bob. Enjoy every waking moment. Believe in yourself. Lead with love and curiosity. Life is too short.
