Annie Wong returned to her heavenly home on August 26, 2015 after a brief yet fierce battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her fight with the disease and ultimately gave her eternal peace.

Annie was born to the late Kwei Wah Lee and Lan Chun Yeung, in Hong Kong on August 5, 1946. She graduated from Sir Robert Black's College of Education in 1965 and subsequently accepted a position as a primary school teacher at Kei Faat Primary school, where she would teach for 28 years. In addition to starting her career, Annie met her best friend, soul-mate and life partner, Tak Fai Wong, at the same school. They got married on December 25th, 1971. Annie and Tak were deeply immersed in the Christian community from a young age, and that would eventually become their lifelong support. In 1975, Annie and Tak welcomed their son, Calvin.

Annie is an artist and educator at heart, she is a tremendously talented floral arrangement master and teacher. In 1995, the family settled in Toronto, Canada, where Annie would enjoyed her retirement and spent her spare time teaching floral arrangements in various community centres and schools. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is now at peace with his creator.

Annie is survived by her loving husband, Tak; her son, Calvin; her sisters, Anna, Woon-Cheung, Wanda and brother, Bruce. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son Tin Fu.

A visitation and celebration of Annie's life will be held at the Elgin Mills Cemetery, Crematorium & Visitation Centre at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday September 5, immediately follow by a cremation ceremony at 11 a.m. Reverend Sue Leung will officiate the service.

The family gratefully declines flowers, in lieu of flowers the family asked donations be made to 105 Gibson Centre; Hill House Hospice; or Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.

Prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted at: https://mountpleasantgroup.permavita.com/site/AnnieWong.html?s=1
