Glamorous, petite, and a strong-willed matriarch... these are just a few of the words that describe the legacy that is Anne Argue. Anne passed away on Sunday, January 10 at the age of 86. The last of her generation, Anne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 14, 1929, of 17 children. She is survived by her son Wilfred Daniel Stubbs and daughters Jacqueline Anne Nixon, Lori Anne Shirley Stubbs and Sherry Irene Sandra Taylor, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and Sasha, her youngest. She has joined her late husband Harry Argue in the afterlife. A woman who embodied the word, "class", Anne is remembered by her family and friends as a woman of small stature and great presence, always dressed to perfection. She was a world traveler many times over. Anne created a family, a legacy and a generation of people who love her and have learned a great deal from her. She taught her family perseverance and poise. Her life began on a small homestead in Manitoba and ended in a home she loved, lakeside on a golf course in Port Perry. She was greatly loved will be dearly missed by all who were graced with her presence.
