Ann Mable Theurer (nee Gray), April 22, 1933- June 17, 2026

With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Ann Mabel Theurer, who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her.

Born in Toronto on April 22, 1933, Ann's greatest love story began in kindergarten, where she met the love of her life, Howard "Howie” Theurer. Childhood friends became lifelong sweethearts, marrying at just 19 years old and sharing 63 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. To those who knew them, they were simply "Ann and How." It brings us comfort to know she is now reunited with cherished husband and with her beloved parents, Bernard and Kate Gray.

Her legacy of unconditional love and grace lives on through her children Sharon Cachia (predeceased by John) and Robert Theurer (predeceased by Kelly). She was the proud Nana to Katie (Alex), Michael (Jessica), Brooke, Mack, Austin, Matt, and Josh, and the best Great -Nana to Chloe, Jackson, Callum, Molly, and Aria.

To her family, she was simply "Travelling Nana". The nickname suited her perfectly. She had an adventurous spirit and was always ready for the next trip, the next destination, and the next memory waiting to be made. She believed life was meant to be experienced, and there was nothing she enjoyed more than sharing those experiences with the people she loved.

As much as she loved seeing the world, some of Ann's happiest moments were much closer to home at the family cottage on Jack Lake. There, the family gathered, stories were shared, laughter echoed across the water, and traditions were created that will live on for years to come. The cottage wasn't simply a place to her; it was where family came together, just as she always hoped they would.

Ann also loved playing cards with family and friends, and the countless games she shared over the years led to many treasured friendships.

Although our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the 93 years we were blessed to share with her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the traditions she created, and the love she gave.

A visitation and celebration of Ann's life will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough). Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ann's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
