<div itemprop="description">Ann passed way peacefully with dignity at the age of 79 on Monday, October 26 at William Osler Health Centre after a courageous fight with illness. Loving and devoted wife to Herbert with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. She was the world's best mom to John, Karoline, and Judy and a doting grandmother to Jarvis and Natasha. As well, she was a wonderful and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Toronto on September 25, 1936. Early education included Loretto Academy in Niagara Falls and later graduated from St. Michael's Nursing School in 1958. Her career included Bellevue Hospital, St. Michael's, Lenox Hill Hospital NYC and at West Park Healthcare Centre until her retirement. Ann practised and instilled the Catholic virtue of nursing during her long career by demonstrating compassion, courage and conscientiousness. Ann enjoyed the occasional glass of wine, cribbage, gambling, family dinners and summers at Pigeon Lake. Ann is survived by her brother Jack and was predeceased by her infant son Martin and brothers Harold, Bill, Bruce, Ray and Tom as well as sisters Audrey and Theresa. Ann had an incredibly full life with her family, many friends, her dogs and wonderful experiences. She was gracious, generous, kind and loving to everyone.
