Doreen Taylor
February 2, 1925 - January 20, 2016
It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Doreen Taylor at her home on January 20, 2016 in her 91st year. Doreen is predeceased by her husband Robert and will be greatly missed by her daughter Mary (Jeff), and her dear friend Dr. Bill Monk.
Doreen was born to Elsie and R.H. King and was sister to Dr. Peter King (Margaret). She was a retired teacher and always involved in the family, community and was a long time volunteer at North York General Hospital.
Her presence will remain in the hearts of her family including David King (Liz), John King (Candice), Stephen King (Carol), Kathryn Collins (Norm), Michael Kennedy (Roberta) and all their extended families.
The family would also like to thank Doreen’s friends, neighbours and caregivers whose love and support helped her to continue to live at home.
As Doreen wished, there will be no service and a family memorial will be held at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations to North York General Hospital Volunteer Services Fund would be appreciated.
