Anetka Dimovski (née Crngarova), age 66, passed away peacefully at home on January 21st, 2026. Born on February 13th, 1959, in Strumica, Macedonia, to Kiril and Trajanka (née Andonova) Crngarov, Anetka was the oldest of four children. She had three brothers: Djoko, Jose, and Spase. Tragically, at 12, Anetka was with her brother Djoko, and their cousin Trajanka when suddenly a catastrophic tornado hit their village. A tree fell on the children. Anetka was the only survivor.
In 1973, encouraged and supported by her uncle, Chicho Vase, Anetka’s family emigrated to Canada. Anetka was deeply adored by her Chicho Vase, who trusted her to handle his banking and serve as his translator. He lovingly showered her with gifts. They lived with up to 5 families at various times including with her cousin Slave Crngaroff’s family, Teta Cena Pojrazov’s family, Chicho Vase Hristov’s family and Chicho Vase Crngaroff.
On August 28, 1976, at the age of 17, Anetka demonstrated her rebellious nature by eloping with her soulmate Louie. Their wedding was held on December 19, 1976 at St. Clement of Ohrid with over 800 guests. Anetka and Louie had three children Kathy, Mary and Mike.
As a trailblazer for women in a male-dominated automotive industry, Anetka played an integral role at Louie’s Service Centre. Together with her husband Louie and son Mike, she helped build a family-run business where every customer was welcomed like one of their own.
Anetka found her greatest joy playing, cooking, baking, and gardening with her grandchildren, Dimitre and Melania. In their presence, she was at her happiest, filling their hearts with warmth, laughter, and love.
Service to others defined Anetka’s life. She gave freely of her time and energy, never hesitating to help whenever someone was in need. She endured what most could not. A fearless rule breaker, she lived courageously until the very end. Her strength, generosity, and love will live on in all of us forever.
Anetka is recently predeceased by her husband Louie and is lovingly remembered by her children Kathy (Steve), Mary (George), Mike (Magda), grandchildren (Dimitre and Melania), and brothers Jose (Cathy) and Spase (Zina) and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kiril and Trajanka, and her brother Djoko.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Ontario Health At Home for their support and assistance. They helped navigate and complete a challenging journey in the comfort of Anetka’s home despite her growing needs. The family was able to demonstrate their deep love, respect, and gratitude for their mother by caring for her themselves and successfully fulfilling the wishes of Anetka to remain at home. The caring team of PSWs (provided by SRT MedStaff) and the compassionate team of nurses and palliative doctor (provided by VHA Home HealthCare) came to Anetka’s home and became part of her family.
Donations in memory of Anetka can be made to VHA Home HealthCare
