Andrew Howard Hall
July 24, 1957 – October 14, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew Howard Hall on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 68.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Stephanie (Adam) and Johnathon (Hal-Lee); his sisters-in-law Janice (Brian) and Wendy (Ricky); his nieces Darlene (Chris), Lindsay, and Alyssa; his nephew Joshua; and his great-nephew Dallas. He was a devoted fur dad to Rory, and a proud fur-Poppa to Trooper, Remington, Gourd, and Charlie.
Andrew was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years, Lisa Hall (née Sullivan); his parents John Hall and Alice Hall (née Barthe); and his in-laws Harold Sullivan and Joyce (Gwen) Sullivan (née Faden).
Andrew was an ever-devoted, fiercely loyal, and protective father. He would do absolutely anything for his children, and his love and pride for them were endless. He shared Stephanie’s love for animals (even though he swore he hated cats) — always ensuring there were treats and presents for all the fur-children and fur-grandchildren. He bonded with Johnathon over cars, tools, and countless garage conversations.
He had a quick wit and a mischievous streak that showed most when he played cards — especially cribbage and euchre. He’d “let you win” the first round, only to completely skunk you in the next. Though we could never prove he was cheating, we always accused him of it when he’d be on a winning streak.
Andrew’s heart was as big as his hands were capable. He had a passion for woodworking, music, and helping others. He was always putting friends and family before himself. He was the person you could count on, steady, kind, and ready to help anyone who needed it.
A proud graduate of Centennial College, Andrew earned his Certificate in Architectural Drafting, a reflection of his lifelong love for design and craftsmanship. Throughout his career, Andrew held many jobs, from driving a transport truck, to working in the sign industry at Charles Sign to spending over 40 years in the insurance industry. This is where he made countless friends and lasting connections through his work and business groups.
Andrew spent many of his 68 years at the family cottage in Bolsover, his favourite place to be. He spent countless hours on the lake boating, tubing, and swimming - the very place he met the love of his life, Lisa. It was his little piece of paradise on Paradise Beach, where laughter filled the air, drinks were shared, and family game nights stretched long into the evening. It was also where he and Lisa passed on their love of the cottage life to their children, creating memories that will last forever.
Though our hearts ache, we take comfort knowing that he is reunited with Lisa, the love of his life. His warmth, humour, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
