Andreas Diamantis, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born in Nestani, Arkadia, Greece, Andreas was the son of Christos and Susanna Diamantis and one of five children. In 1967, he immigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto to build a new life. He worked various jobs in hospitality before spending over 30 years as a Toronto taxi driver, a profession he carried out with dignity and pride.

Andreas was married to his beloved wife Georgia, for 50 years, a partnership defined by devotion, loyalty, and mutual respect. Together they built a life centered on family and hard work.

In his quieter moments and while enjoying retirement, Andreas found contentment close to home. He loved spending time around the house, barbecuing, gardening, mowing the lawn, and fixing things. He also enjoyed spending hours on YouTube, thoughtfully watching and learning about world history and geopolitics, always curious and attentive to the world beyond his own.

A man of unwavering patience and steady presence, Andreas was always there for his family and friends. He asked little, gave freely, and offered strength without words.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Georgia, his children Chris (Monica) and John (Kathy) and his grandchildren Andreas, Thomas, George, Kristianna and Marianna.

His life was one built on integrity, steady values and lasting impact. His legacy lives on in the love, respect and example he instilled in his family and all that knew him.
