After 72 years of grace, strength, and unwavering love, the Lord has called His faithful servant, Andrea Jennifer Beverly Antoine, home to eternal rest. Known affectionately to all as “Jenny,” she passed peacefully at her home on March 29, 2026, after facing a courageous battle with cancer with the same resilience that defined her life.
Jenny’s story began on the island of St. Vincent, born on April 9, 1953, to the late Estherlita Stephens-Stroude and Charles Ballentyne. Her path later led her to Trinidad, and eventually across the ocean to Canada, where she traveled to build a life alongside her beloved late husband, Glen "Goutee" Antoine. Though her journey took her far from where she started, Jenny was a woman who remained devoted to her family no matter the distance; her heart was a bridge that kept her loved ones connected across every border.
A woman of remarkable hands and a sharp mind, Jenny was the definition of a tireless worker. She moved through the world with rhythmic purpose; whether showing her competitive passion for netball to applying her technical precision as an instrument technician. She approached every challenge with a quiet, steady strength, proving that with a resilient spirit and a willing heart, there was nothing she couldn't achieve.
To step into Jenny’s kitchen was to experience her heart—she was an accomplished cook who took immense pride in her ‘pot of pelau’ and legendary souse, a gift she shared generously with her community.
Jenny’s faith was not contained within the walls of a building; it was a living, breathing part of her character. She walked with God daily, expressing her devotion through a spirit of profound kindness and an open-door heart. She found her greatest joy in life’s quiet moments and simple pleasures, leaving a legacy of integrity and warmth.
Her greatest pride, however, was her family. She was the devoted mother of Tashia Antoine and the doting grandmother of Zephaniah Antoine. In a rare and beautiful blessing, Jenny and Zephaniah shared the same birthday; a divine coincidence that reflected the extraordinary, unbreakable bond they shared.
"Jenny now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Glen "Goutee" Antoine, and her sister, Alicia Lorainey.
Her memory will be cherished forever by her sisters, Yvonne Lynch and Marilyn Cox; and her brothers, Everette Stephens and Elliot (Dean) Stephens. From her father’s lineage, she is lovingly remembered by Epson Campbell, Curtis Henry, Jeanetta Williams, Mechelle Williams, and Heather Crichton.
She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends, and will be deeply missed by the Lorainey, Stephens, Wickham, Denny, Hughes, and Ballantyne families. Her legacy of love remains a bridge that connects us all, across every distance."
Our hearts are heavy, yet we find comfort in knowing that a woman who worked so hard for so many is finally at rest, wrapped in the love of the Creator.
