It is often said that when two hearts love each other so dearly, not even death can keep them apart.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Andreas Spanoudis, who passed away peacefully in his sleep, on the morning of July 3.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Anastasia, who passed away shortly before his passing, in early May.
Predeceased by his parents Nick and Eleni Spanoudis.
He will be forever remembered by his children, Nick (Lydia) and George, and his grandchildren, Andreas, Anastasia, Andreas and Maria.
Andreas will be remembered as an upstanding man who always worked hard for his family. As a bachelor, he travelled around the world as a vessel cook, to support his parents and siblings. In 1969, he immigrated to Canada, where he met his wife, Anastasia, and together they built a beautiful family. He continued to work as a cook, until his retirement in 1995.
Andreas’ family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, July 11th from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. John the Compassionate Mission, 155 Broadview Avenue, Toronto, followed by the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd E., Richmond Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations
to St. John the Compassionate Mission,
in Andreas’ memory.
