<div itemprop="description">Andre Berns <br /><br />Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday April 15, 2015, Andre lost his most recent battle with an aggressive return of cancer. Devoted husband to Gaye Bosman Berns. Loving father of Sylvia, and Vincent. Cherished opa of Sydne and Reaghan. Andre will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. Andre will be fondly remembered for his love of teaching and sports, motorcycling and the outdoors, his strong will and determination to help others and to build a good life for his family. Cremation has taken place at Thornton Crematorium. Family and friends can be received for a memorial reception with coffee and Andre's favourite apple pie at The Simple Alternative, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, (Brock &amp; 401) on Sunday April 19, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. www.etouch.ca<br /></div>
